What is a Snap Frame?

A snap frame, also known as a snap-open picture frame or a snap poster frame or poster holder, is a type of frame that is designed to make it easy to change and display signs, posters, artwork, photographs, and other visual materials. The frame is typically made of lightweight and durable materials such as anodized aluminum or plastic.

The main feature of a poster snap frame is its ability to open and close easily, allowing for quick insertion and removal of the displayed material. This is achieved through a mechanism consisting of spring-loaded hinges or clips located on all four sides of the frame. By simply opening the edges of the frame, you can remove the protective cover, place the artwork or poster inside, and then snap the frame shut, securing the material in place.

Snap frames often include pre-drilled holes and come with mounting hardware, making it convenient to attach them to walls or other surfaces. They can also be integrated into sign stands or other display systems. The clear cover, typically made of acrylic or polycarbonate, serves to protect the artwork from dust, moisture, UV radiation, and other potential damage. The sturdy backing, often made of materials like plastic or MDF (Medium-Density Fiberboard), provides support to prevent bending or warping of the displayed material.
